Morgan Stanley announced this week that it has hired Martin Bradford, who was previously head of European FX prime brokerage sales at RBS.
He joins Morgan Stanley as a senior marketer in FXPB and as an executive director at the London office.
Bradford is the latest in a line of hires in the FXPB division, which is headed up by Martine Bond, who joined in September last year from JPMorgan.
Martine Bond told the FiX yesterday: “FX is a key business for Morgan Stanley and two of the strategic areas for investment and growth are ecommerce and FX prime brokerage. Over the past 12 months, Morgan Stanley has made a significant investment in both technology and people in these products.
“FXPB is a very profitable area and it really provides clients with a value-added service.”
She added: “If we continue on our current trajectory, we’re hoping to add a couple more people to the global team in our London, New York and Hong Kong offices.”
