Under his leadership since 2017, the bank’s cash management franchise has become one of Africa’s most technologically advanced, serving over 550,000 clients across the continent and generating over $600 million in total revenue in 2024.
Kamuta’s achievement lies not only in scale but in strategy. On joining Ecobank from Citi after a previous stint at JPMorgan, he set out to unify the group’s disparate payments systems into a single, pan-African architecture.
