Junpei Yamamoto has joined Barclays Capital as managing director and head of FX sales, Japan. Yamamoto joins from JPMorgan after a 20-year career at the bank. He will report jointly to Lutfey Siddiqi and George Athanasopoulus on a functional basis, and locally to Akio Kashima, Barclays’ Tokyo branch manager.
Joining him are Takamoto Osawa, Toshikatsu Furumi and Minako Harimoto. Osawa will be a director to lead corporate FX; Furumi joins as a director to lead FX distribution to financial institutions, excluding banks, and Harimoto joins as an associate director in corporate FX structuring.
