Hardiman will be responsible for strategic development and growth of the business. The appointment comes as FXecosystem enters a new growth phase following further investment, after being founded just over a year ago.
Hardiman has assumed the role from Dr Jock Percy, who founded the company in June 2010 and served as interim CEO. Percy will remain actively involved in the company and serve as executive director on the board of management. It is the company’s second major management change in a month, following the recent departure of co-founder Jon Vollamaere.
Hardiman has over 18 years’ experience in global markets across FX and e-commerce and has held senior FX positons at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Standard Chartered and most recently as head of dbFX, Deutsche Bank’s online retail FX trading platform, that was sold to Gain Capital in April.
