RBS makes two senior hires from BAML in FX sales

Royal Bank of Scotland has made two key hires in FX sales by appointing a new global head of financial institutions sales and a UK head of hedge fund sales, the bank confirmed today.

As was first revealed by EuromoneyFXNews in June, Mark Webster joins RBS from Bank of America Merrill Lynch to take on the dual role of head of FX sales for the EMEA region and global head of financial institutions FX sales. Webster was previously head of EMEA FX sales at BAML, a position he had held since 2002. He was also a member of the BAML global executive committee for cross-product electronic trading and risk management.

Graham Wintersgill, who also previously worked at BAML, joins RBS as UK head of FX hedge fund sales and will report to Webster. Wintersgill had headed BAML’s FX institutional sales team for Europe since 2009.

These appointments, and that of Toby Cole from Goldman Sachs as head of FI and FX structuring have helped fill some of the management roles left vacant by the departure of the global head of sales, Chris Leuschke, in June.
