HSBC FX options traders leave bank

An HSBC FX options trader based in London and another based in Hong Kong have left the bank.

Hugo Ohta was an FX options trader for HSBC in London and Philippe Zebouni was an HSBC FX options trader based in Hong Kong. They left the bank this month, according to a spokesperson. It was not immediately clear if Ohta or Zebouni took positions working for other companies.

Ohta reported to Steve Rendon, head of HSBC G10 vanilla options in London. Zebouni reported to Hong Kong-based Andrew Sharkey, HSBC’s head of FX and precious metals options trading for Asia Pacific.

Zebouni previously worked for Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, Natixis, Société Générale and JPMorgan.
