FXCM promotes new global head of options sales

FXCM, the leading online FX broker, has promoted its head of EMEA and Asia options sales to run the global forex options sales business.

Anoushka Hampton is based in London and is part of the FXCM Pro business, which is the institutional arm of FXCM. She reports to New York-based FXCM Pro managing director Andreas Putz. Hampton first joined FXCM Pro in March 2005 as head of spot FX sales for the company’s institutional platform.

She then left the company in March 2007 to join the FXSolutions business within the City Index Group as head of European retail sales operations.

Hampton then became the client management director at City Index, managing all client-facing departments, from October 2008 until June 2009, when she shifted back to FX solutions to work as head of EMEA FX sales and partnerships.

She rejoined FXCM Pro in November 2010. Hampton has been a key member of the company’s foray into the FX options market, overseeing a burgeoning partnership with derivatives pricing vendor SuperDerivatives to develop a new trading platform for the products called DCX.

Hampton began her career in the FX market at HSBC in 1997, working as a trader on the bank’s FX prop desk until 2000, when she transferred to UBS, where she was an FX spot trader until 2004.
