JPMorgan Private Bank brings in Barclays FX strategist

JPMorgan Private Bank has appointed a former Barclays banker as its new global currency strategist.

Sara Yates joins the US bank in London, and will be responsible for currency forecasts as well as client investment and diversification strategies in foreign exchange.

Yates will report to Stephen Jury, global head of foreign exchange and commodities at JPMorgan Private Bank.

Yates joins the bank from Barclays, where she was lead FX strategist for the European corporate business with a particular focus on GBP and the UK economy.

Before that, she was part of the portfolio construction and strategy team at UBS Wealth Management, and held several economist positions at HM Treasury.
