Bernard Kipping, a 23-year veteran in FX trading at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), has left the bank, according to sources who spoke to EuromoneyFXNews.

Kipping had been head of the spot trading team in London, and his departure follows the exit of another trading veteran, Phil Rands.

Kipping was an inaugural member of the chief dealers’ subgroup of the Bank of England’s FX Joint Standing Committee between 2005 and 2012.

CBA improved eight places to 36th in this year’s Euromoney FX survey, showing a marked improvement with real-money clients, where it grew volumes by 125%.
