RBS options head moves to Nomura

The head of options for the Americas at RBS has joined Nomura as managing director and senior FX options trader for the Americas.

Ian White has moved to Nomura in New York, according to Derivatives Intelligence (DI), a sister publication of EuromoneyFXNews. He reports directly to Brent Donnelly, co-head of New York FX trading and global head of G10 spot trading, Aloisio Teles, co-head of New York FX trading and head of Latin American trading, regionally, and Nigel Khakoo, global head of FX options and co-head of Europe, Middle East and Africa FX trading, globally, according to an internal memo seen by DI.

“We continue to consolidate our position as Asia’s only truly global investment bank and, as such, have been able to significantly increase market share across the FX business,” Khakoo tells DI. “As other banks consolidate or retrench, it’s a great time for us to build our talent base.”

White joined RBS in 2003.
