Credit Suisse’s head of EMEA electronic FX sales leaves

Credit Suisse’s head of EMEA electronic FX sales has left the firm, according to sources who spoke to EuromoneyFXNews.

Jonathan Wykes, who joined Credit Suisse in 2007, was primarily involved with advanced electronic sales, or algorithmic execution in the FX markets. The firm is considered a pioneer of electronic algorithmic execution, first introducing it into the equities market in 2001 with its algorithm called Guerrilla, which sought to seek out liquidity in lit and dark pools, and Sniper, which executed in dark pools. In 2006, the firm became one of the first to introduce it into the FX markets.

Separately, Paul Houston, head of FX prime services at Credit Suisse, has also left the firm. It is believed that he and Wykes both left last week.

Credit Suisse declined to comment on the departures.
