>Methodology
Euromoney asked investors to nominate the best fixed income issuers both globally and across a range of sectors and borrower types that matched categories in the research poll.
The survey is therefore in two parts: best research house and best borrower.
Investors are asked to nominate their top three borrowers in each category based on issuance strategy, credit quality and investor relations.
They were also asked to nominate their top three credit research teams, or individuals, across the same categories.
Nominated firms are scored 4:3:2 for first, second and third place votes respectively in each survey. The scores are then totalled for each individual category and these scores totalled for the overall table.
In total 1,820 investors took part, an increase of 4.7% on last year, of which 1,800 valid responses were received for the fixed-income research part of the poll; 941 valid responses were received for the best borrowers part of the poll which included individual nominations for 815 separate borrowers.
