NBP, Swiss central bank sign deal to offer 84-day CHF swaps on Dec 3, 17. The National Bank of Poland (NBP) announced it would offer, in cooperation with the Swiss National Bank (SNB), CHF swaps with 84-day maturity on Dec 3 and Dec 17. Earlier, NBP and SNB signed an agreement establishing a temporary EUR/CHF swap arrangement, with a view to provide liquidity on the CHF interbank market. Thanks to this deal, as of Nov 17, the NBP joined the weekly EUR/CHF foreign exchange swap operations of the SNB and the Eurosystem. We recall that foreign exchange swap (FX swap) transactions in EUR and USD, one of the instruments proposed to commercial banks in the NBP confidence package, are available from Oct 17. ISB
