Investment bank bootcamp: Learning on a lamp-post

Apparently, you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about investment banking in just four weeks.

Desperate times require desperate measures. For people in New York trying to find out more about what’s behind the investment banking crisis, or (unlikely) thinking there’s a chance of a job out there, a new course provides the answer – perhaps.

Apparently, you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about investment banking in just four weeks. And you’ll be privileged to be taught by former bankers – although it’s fair to say there are a few of those around these days.

But at Euromoney, we’re worried that the teachers may not be getting as many takers as they hope. They’ve taken to sticking posters to lamp-posts across Manhattan island. And judging by the lack of people that have actually taken away the contact details, we’re worried that their timing may be off.
