RTS index down by 3.97% w/w to 1646.14 pts during Aug 25 – Aug 29. RTS index went down by 3.97% w/w to 1646.14 pts during the week of Aug 25 – Aug 29, after five consecutive weeks of index going down and being well below 2000 pts threshold. On the first day of the reporting week the index closed at 1647.67 pts, going up by 3.2% d/d, then plummeted by 4.2% d/d to 1579.12 on Aug 26, but recovered slightly by 0.6% d/d on Aug 27. Index then went up by 4.1% d/d on Aug 28 and then decreased by 0.5% d/d to close at 1646.14 pts on Aug 29. The total trade volume went down w/w to USD 155.97mn from USD 161.27mn. The average daily volume amounted to USD 31.19mn vs. USD 32.25mn posted during previous week.
