Non-performing loans ratio of Philippines' thrift banks decreases to 6.48% in April. According to figures of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the non-performing loans (NPL) ratio of thrift banks decreased to 6.48% as of the end of Apr 2008 from 6.67% in Mar 2008. The comparative figure for Apr 2007 stood at 7.3%. Excluding inter-bank loans, the NPL ratio came in at 7.67% in April 2008 compared to 7.65% in Mar 2008 and 8.49% in Apr 2007.
