Telekom Slovenije acquires cable TV provider Netkom for EUR 1.3mn. Slovenian telecommunication company Telekom Slovenije has acquired RS-based small cable TV provider Netkom for EUR 1.3mn (KM 2.5mn). The acquisition was executed through Telekom Slovenije RS unit, the Banja Luka-based telecom operator and Internet provider Aneks. Netkom has about 6,500 subscribers on its own network. Telekom Slovenije plans to merge Netkom into Aneks by end-year in order to provide a comprehensive set of telecoms services that includes telephony, internet and multimedia services, including TV. Except for Netkom and Aneks, Telekom Slovenije also owns newswire ISP Blic.net. Telekom Slovenije reported sales of EUR 416.6mn in H1, up by 9% y/y on EUR 48.5mn net profit, up by 5% y/y.
