Monetary base grows 2.9% in July. The monetary base increased by 2.9% in July to CZK 382.8bn (EUR 16bn) at the end of the month after 5% decrease in the previous month, the central bank reports. In annual terms, the growth rate reached 4.7% as compared to 0.2% decline in June. The monetary base comprises cash, including cash reserves, minimum mandatory reserves and other reserves that commercial banks keep on central bank accounts.
