Government plans to attract USD 1bn on foreign markets by end-2008. Government revealed its plans to attract USD 1bn in Sep-Oct through Eurobonds placements. As vice FinMin told, it is essential to attract foreign funds, since the privatization program for 2008 is executed for 4%. As we reported, State Property Fund appropriated UAH 337mn (USD 69.48mn) in privatization revenues to state budget in Jan-Jul. The vice FinMin told that foreign financing will most probably constitute with two tranches worth USD 500mn each.
