State treasury debt up by 1.3% m/m to PLN 504.5bn at end-May.





State treasury debt up by 1.3% m/m to PLN 504.5bn at end-May. The state treasury's debt rose by 1.3% m/m to PLN 504.53bn at the end of May, the finance ministry announced. This equals around EUR 149.3bn or USD 231.2bn. Domestic debt, calculated on the basis of the issue's location, amounted to PLN 391.50bn and was up by 2.5% on the month and up by 2.9% since the end of 2007. Foreign debt amounted to PLN 113.03bn, which is a decrease of 2.6% m/m and by 6.7% ytd. The domestic debt in T-bills was worth of PLN 22.61bn (rise of 47.6% m/m and by 0.1% ytd), while in domestic T-bonds amounted to PLN 361.62bn (increase of 0.6% m/m and 3.1% since end-2007). tom
