Growth period for main stock exchange indices ends. The Macedonian Stock Exchange's main indices stopped their recovery and entered the summer slowdown, following two weeks of steady growth, according to brokers. The MBI-10 index, tracking the 10 blue-chip companies on the market, closed at 5,288.30 on Friday, up 0.5% w/w. The recently reviewed broader MBID index, including the shares of the 13 most liquid companies over a six-month period, closed at 5,543.98, down by 1.1% w/w. The total turnover on the exchange dropped by 47% to MKD 97.8mn (EUR 1.52mn) reverting to the level reached two weeks ago. Komercijalna Banka shares were again most traded last week, with transactions totalling MKD 38.9mn.
