Apparel maker Mavi still in partnership talks with Turkven.





Apparel maker Mavi still in partnership talks with Turkven. Local producer of jeans wear Mavi Jeans announced that partnership talks for a 35% stake in the apparel company are still underway with local venture capital fund Turkven. Talks were initially made public in mid-June. Mavi Jeans informed that the company’s current executives would remain in the management if the deal materialises. Meanwhile, the competition board approved the acquisition of the entire stake in Mavi Giyim ve Sanayi Ticaret by Blue International Holding N.V., a company founded by Mavi Jeans. The company said it would make future developments on the subject public. According to Mavi Jeans, the company has presence in 50 countries with over 4,600 sales points. Founded in Istanbul in 1991, Mavi Jeans designs a full collection of jeans wear for women and men. Non-listed Mavi Jeans sells 7mn pairs of jeans a year and recorded TRY 194mn turnover last year.
