Egypt's Pioneers revises up 2008 net profit forecast to USD 79.4mn. Egypt's investment company Pioneers forecasted 2008 net profit at up to EGP 425mn (USD 79.4mn), raising its forecast from EGP 275mn (USD 51.4mn), Reuters reported. Ayman Taha, company's director of investor relations, said that the increased forecast comes as a result of the initial indicators of the first half of the year, the acquisitions and the expected expansion of the company's business in Saudi Arabia and Morocco . The company was granted three additional licences from the Saudi Capital Market Authority that will expand its activity to portfolio and fund management. Pioneers made net profit of EGP 106mn (USD 19.8mn) in 2007.
