PM Yulia Tymoshenko pays her official visit to Russian Federation.

PM Yulia Tymoshenko pays her official visit to Russian Federation. PM Yulia Tymoshenko finished her official visit to Russian Federation . After her meeting with Russia ’s PM, Vladimir Putin at press conference noted that Ukraine has no debts for gas at current payments and there are still some previous years debts which must be negotiated. After the visit, Tymoshenko said that it was agreed to sign long-term agreement on the supplies of natural gas to Ukraine until September 15. To remind, former head of Gazprom Mr. Miller announced that most probably from Jan 1, 2009 the price for Ukraine for natural gas can reach more than USD 400 per 1,000 m 3 . PM Yulia Tymoshenko says that such price is not acceptable for Ukraine . PM thinks that the price increase up to European level can be gradual in 3-4 years.  To note, Ukraine imports natural gas from Central Asian countries which is transported via Russian territory. Before, it was announced that Central Asian countries claimed and agreed with Gazprom to sell Central Asian origin gas at European prices level. Notably, Vladimir Putin expressed his respect toward Yulia TYmoshenko as being a positive political leader in Ukraine . Such an expression was communicated in Russia ’s media which changes some negative view of Russian public about Tyoshenko in Russia , as Tymoshenko acknowledges.
