Current consumer sentiment indicator falls by 3.3pps m/m in June.

Current consumer sentiment indicator falls by 3.3pps m/m in June. The current consumer sentiment indicator was at -8.6pts in June, which is down by 3.3pps m/m and by 1.3% in annual terms, according to a survey carried out by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) and the National Bank of Poland (NBP). The forecast consumer sentiment indicator fell by 1.8pps m/m to -10.7pts and was lower than in 2007 by 3.7pps. The level and direction of the consumer sentiment indicators’ changes in June suggest the need to expect a slowdown of individual consumption’s dynamics, GUS stated. The consumer sentiment indicator ranges from -100 to +100pts (a positive value signifies a numerical majority of optimistic consumers to pessimistic ones). The June survey was carried out on a sample of 1,735 households. ISB
