Net profit of Egyptian Financial and Industrial company surges by 63.5% in Q1.The net profit of the Egyptian Financial and Industrial company (EFIC) surged by 63.5% to EGP 39.3mn (USD 7.3mn) in Q1/2008, the company said in a statement released on the website of the stock exchange. The company's main activities are the production and retail distribution of chemical products and fertilizer such as phosphate and nitrate. It also operates in real estate and financial services. The company was established in 1929 and became publicly held in July 1996.
