Printing firm Koza acquires TV channel Kanalturk. Commercial printing company Koza Davetiye Magaza Isletmeleri ve Ihracat issued a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange and informed that it acquired 99.99% shares of Yasam Televizyon Yayin Hizmetleri for an undisclosed amount. According to the Koza statement, Yasam Televizyon, which holds the broadcasting rights of TV channel and radio station Kanalturk along with www.kanalturk.com.tr domain, were bought through Koza’s 99.04% subsidiary ATP Insaat ve Ticaret. Istanbul Stock Exchange listed Koza Davetiye gave no further details on the transaction. Last week, Koza Davetiye said that it planned around USD 150mn investment in energy, media, and mining sectors.             The company had stepped into media sector when it bought the publishing rights of daily Bugun in 2005. On a separate note, IPO of Koza’s miner unit Koza Altin Isletmeleri was cancelled or postponed, according to the weekly bulletin of the capital markets board. The bulletin did not specify whether the deal was cancelled completely or only delayed for some time.
