Bourse trading volume drops by 75.3% y/y in April. The trading volume on the Bratislava Stock Exchange (BCPB) amounted to SKK 13.4bn in April, falling by 75.3% y/y, the bourse informed. On the other hand, turnover was still up by 49.7% on m/m basis. A total of 349 transactions were concluded during the month, rising by 41.1% m/m while the number of traded securities dropped by 3.6% m/m. Block transactions continued to be dominant in bourse trading, accounting for 98.1% of the total trading volume and for 58.5% of all transactions. Share trading remained weak during the month SKK 67.4mn. Price making deals represented 16% of total volume of trading in shares. Traded companies on the BCPB had an aggregate market capitalisation of SKK 148.7bn at end-April, down by 4.1% m/m. Capitalisation of listed issues only was down by 7.7% m/m to SKK 85.8bn. The official bourse share index SAX fell by 3.1% m/m, while still rising by 13.2% y/y to close April at a level of 446.3pts.
