Minimum living costs increase by 0.17% m/m in April.





Minimum living costs increase by 0.17% m/m in April. The minimum living costs of a four-member family, as calculated by the Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH), increased by 0.17% m/m to HRK 6,206 (EUR 853.7) in April. The average net salary amounted to HRK 4,823 in February and covered 77.7% of the minimum living costs. SSSH also said the minimum costs of a four-member family living in a rented dwelling grew by 0.16% m/m to HRK 7,765, and if the family had a car, the costs increased by further HRK 925. Meantime, the minimum costs for a pensioner was calculated to be HRK 3,550, of which only 57.48% were covered by the average pension allowance. The Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (NHS) also announced that according to its calculations, the average minimum living costs of a four-member family increased by 0.25% m/m to HRK 6,459 (EUR 888.5) in April. The average net wage in February covered 77.3% of the minimum costs, which was 0.57pps less m/m. The minimum costs of a family living in a rented apartments amounted to HRK 8,273 and were 60.35% covered by the net wage.
