Bank of Thailand: Interest policy to be governed by domestic conditions.

Bank of Thailand: Interest policy to be governed by domestic conditions. According to news agency TNA , Bank of Thailand (BoT) Assistant Governor Suchada Kirakul stated recently that the interest rate policy of the BoT would be guided by local economic conditions rather than by interest rate cuts in the US . Kirakul said that Thailand 's economy was expanding at a satisfactory rate but inflation was a matter of concern. Kirakul also said that capital inflows might not increase significantly as a result of an increase in the interest rate differential with the US because Thailand 's interest rates were not very attractive.
