Methodology

Euromoney’s fourth annual emerging Europe company ranking is based on a survey of market analysts at leading banks and research institutes in the region.

We received replies from 91 institutions and analysts. Respondents were asked to nominate the top three companies in each of the countries or sectors they covered, bearing in mind market strength, profitability, growth potential and quality of management and earnings.

Points were awarded on the scale of 4:3:2 for nominations for first, second and third place respectively. Companies’ results are expressed as a percentage of total points received in each category, together with the number of companies that received points in each category. We received nominations for 272 companies for all categories.

A number of other countries and industry sectors were included in the survey, but did not receive enough responses to be published.
