Yields on T-bills stagnate ahead of interest rate decision.

Yields on T-bills stagnate ahead of interest rate decision. The State Debt Management Agency (AKK) floated HUF 40bn of three-month T-bills at the latest primary auction, the agency informed. The volume of the issue was in line with the initially offered amount. The demand at the auction was within normal ranges with bids reaching HUF 99.6bn and ensuring a coverage ratio of 2.5 over supply. The average yield dropped slightly, by 3bps from the secondary market benchmark rate to 8.29%. It still increased by 1bps from the yield in the previous auction a week ago. In our opinion, this should imply that markets do not expect an interest rate change from the central bank at its pending rate-setting meeting on Apr 28.
