WB to increase lending to Philippines. The Manila Times reported that WB announced that it is committed itself to increase annual lending to the Philippines . WB's Country Director for Philippines said that the bank may lend between USD 850mn and USD 900mn annually; depending on the government's funding requirements. WB's total loan commitment to Philippines was at USD 1.8bn at end of Dec 2007.
