Central bank profit falls by 1.7% m/m in March.





Central bank profit falls by 1.7% m/m in March. The National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) realized a SKK 185.5mn profit in Q1, falling by 1.7% m/m, the bank spokeswoman Jana Kovacova informed. The financial bottomline did not include losses or profits from exchange rate revaluation of the bank’s assets, which would be added to the result only at the end of the year. Exchange rate effects amounted to SKK 18.9bn for the period. The NBS closed last year with a SKK 19.5bn loss, which would be settled through future profits.
