Bourse trading drops by 27% m/m in March. Turnover on the Bratislava Stock Exchange (BCPB) amounted to SKK 9bn in March, falling by 27% m/m, the bourse informed. In y/y terms, it plunged by 88.1%. A total of 108,630 securities were traded during the month, declining only slightly by 0.28% m/m. The number of transactions, however, fell at a more rapid pace of 13.7% m/m to 362. Block trades accounted for 99.6% of all trading volume on the bourse in March and for a 40.1% share in all transactions. Share trading accounted for SKK 73.4mn during the month or a negligible 0.8% in total turnover. One share issue on the regulated free market with a SKK 2.2bn volume was terminated on the company’s request during the month. Market capitalisation of traded companies on the bourse was down by 0.6% m/m to SKK 155bn at end-March. In contrast, capitalisation of listed companies increased by 4.6% m/m to SKK 92.9bn. Nevertheless, the official bourse index SAX fell by 3.1% m/m to 460.5pts at the end of the month.
