Treasury debt higher by 4.8% y/y in 2007. The debt of the State Treasury amounted to PLN 501.53bn (EUR 139.3bn) at end-2007 and was by 4.8% higher on the year, the finance ministry said. In December alone debt grew by 1.1%, i.e. by PLN 5.3bn. Domestic debt amounted to PLN 380.4bn at the end of last year and was by higher by 8% y/y. Foreign debt fell by 4% last year to PLN 121.12bn as of Dec 31. Average expiration of treasury securities was 4.33 years compared to 3.94 years a year earlier. The average expiry of bonds was 4.59 years.
