Foreign exchange debate:  Currency markets in a post credit crisis world

Paul Lambert (PL) is director of macro/currency strategies at Polar Capital Partners. He joined Polar Capital in November 2005 from Deutsche Asset Management, where he was global head of currency and the senior investor on a wider global macro platform.

Richard Benson (RB) is portfolio manager, foreign exchange at Investec Asset Management. He is responsible for G10 alpha generation within the Investec currency alpha portfolio and the development of medium-term macro FX risk across Investec fixed income portfolios.

Xavier Porterfield (XP) is global head of research sales at FX Concepts. He is responsible for research subscriptions and also provides clients with technical trading strategies within the EMEA region.

Harriett Baldwin (HB) is senior adviser at JPMorgan Asset Management. She chairs JPMorgan Asset Management’s global quantitative council, is a director of JPMorgan Asset Management UK Ltd and a trustee of the JPMorgan EMEA foundation for women.

Mark Farrington (MF) is head of currency at Principal Global Investors. He heads the PGI global currency business, which manages $6 billion in active currency mandates for institutional clients. He is also a member of the economics resource group – a global team of economists, strategists and portfolio managers that decide PGI’s global macro view.

Chico Khan-Gandapur (CK-G) is managing director, head of FX institutional sales at Société Générale. He has responsibility for the foreign exchange and rates businesses directed to institutional clients in Europe.

Vincent DeLorenzo (VD) is head of GFX EMEA and global head of GFX Stirt at Bank of America. He is managing director and head of currencies in Europe for the bank and leads its global FX STIRT business. He graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jason Shell (JS) is global head of FX sales to corporates at Deutsche Bank. His team’s advice includes FX risk management, accounting expertise and derivatives management for asset and liability clients. He is part of Deutsche Bank’s global capital markets management team and a member of the management team for global foreign exchange.

David Bloom (DB) is global head of foreign exchange strategy for HSBC and has been with the group for 15 years. Before taking up his current post, specializing in currencies and market strategies, David was the US economist for the investment bank at HSBC.

Ed Pla (EP) is managing director, global head of FX prime services at UBS. He has responsibility for FX prime brokerage, connectivity services and the FX services provided to UBS’s equity and fixed income prime brokerage clients.
