CFO Christmas appointments

As Christmas approaches, CF brings you news of CFOs who will be raising a toast to new found jobs over the festive season. Dennis Blazer should have a cheerful Christmas and a lucrative New Year after his appointment as CFO of CECO Environmental, the US air pollution control company. The 57 year-old stands to receive a $150,000 a year salary as well as 50,000 stock options at $3.35 a share. He was previously CFO of Interlott, a company that makes lottery ticket vending machines, and replaces Marshall Morris who resigned in November.

Meanwhile US retail company Gadzooks has hired Monty Standifer as its new CFO for the second time. He served as CFO at the company between 1992 and 1999, before moving to restaurant operator Buffet Partners.

And the New Year will also bring a new CFO to Techne Corporation, the US biotechnology company, in the form of Gregory Melsen. He joins from educational software company PLATO Learning where he spent nearly three years as CFO. Melsen's CV also includes CFO experience at environmental testing company PACE Incorporated and medical device manufacturer American Medical Systems Holdings. He also spent 19 years as an accountant at Deloitte & Touche.
